tiCrypt Connect.exe installation error opening file for writting

Problem​

tiCrypt Connect cannot open the installation file for writting in Windows.

You can click Abort to abort the installation, Retry to reattempt installation while making no changes or Ignore to install tiCrypt Connect.exe with an error.

Cause​

tiCrypt Connect Application identified other running tiCrypt Application processes in Windows background. It will not trigger the installation to avoid corrupting its files.

Solution​

Remove all tiCrypt connect background processes in Windows.

  1. Go to Start windows button in your windows bar.
  2. Enter "Task Manager" in the search bar.
  3. In the task manager window, view all processes under Apps and Background processes which have 'tiCrypt' in the name.
  4. Right-click on each process and select End task.
  5. Once all tasks are closed, retry the installation.
